The short answer: Please QSL direct and/or LOTW.
The long answer:
I love the tradition behind QSL cards. There is something very satisfying about having a tangible reminder of a radio contact. I recognize, however, that the ever-increasing cost of postage and the instant gratification offered by the Internet have made “virtual QSL cards” increasingly popular. I also can’t argue the fact that LOTW has made awards checking a breeze! (At least for ARRL sponsored awards.) To accommodate both my love of collecting QSL cards and the realities of our digitally connected world, I operate in both the traditional and virtual QSL realms.
I upload all of my operating logs to LOTW and eQSL. I appreciate confirmations via LOTW whenever possible. I send QSL cards as needed or requested, and strive to have a 100% card return rate. If you need a QSL card from me, please do not hesitate to ask. My contact information can be found in my QRZ listing. (Email is fine, just be certain to send the QSO details so I can find you in my log.)
73 and good DX!
“The final courtesy of a QSO is a QSL.”
